PaFF 17 - results now published!

We again used the ClubKnight software to record the scores for all the matches.

The scores are all online at http://clubknight.uk using their Audience web-app, which resizes the display to suit all mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).

PaFF 17 - entries now open

The Early Bird discount price is currently available for anyone entering the 17th PaFF funLeague competition for plastic foil.

The competition will take place on Saturday 7th of May, from 11am until 4pm, with the optional prize-giving ceremony taking place from around 4:20pm.

Enter now, and the entry fee is £14 (rising to £17.50 from the 1st May onwards)

The competition will take place at Edinburgh College, Sighthill Campus, in the Centre for Sport and Exercise.


We expect to be using our paperless scoring app, and this time, there is an app for all the fencers and spectators to follow their scores as the action happens.

PaFF 15 - entries now open

As usual, it will be at a very accessible part of Edinburgh, with seating for all, and play facilities for brothers, sisters and between rounds.

PaFF 14 Results

The next event will be held on Saturday May 9th.

So far this season, 37 young fencers have taken part and, as usual, the May event will be bigger and better than the rest.


Our paperless refereeing system proved really useful yesterday, and it'll be working even more smoothly next time.

PaFF 13 : Entries now open

On-line entry is now open for the 12th PaFF funLeague plastic sword-fencing competition day!

PaFF continues to be Scotland's largest & most popular plastic-foil sword-fencing competition series, and this season, we'll have the opportunity to hold our largest-ever event in May.

Our next event is being held on November 8th, 2014, at the Forrester/St. Augustines Community Sports Hub.

So far, we've played host to young fencers from Perthshire, Stirlingshire, South Lanarkshire, Fife, Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian and East Lothian.

As usual, the children will be placed in very closely-matched final rounds, to fence off for League Division trophies and medals, and there will be League Divisions suitable for complete beginners.

There are no elimination rounds - everyone gets a full day's fencing.

Date: Saturday, November 8th
Time: 11am to 4pm, with optional awards ceremony at 4:20pm

Metal PaFF 1

Congratulations to everyone who took part in Metal PaFF 1.

Alex won League Division A, after a nail-biting deciding bout with Rachel, which ran out of time with a score of 6-5.

Angus took the Division A Bronze Medal.

Dominik was awarded the Gold Medal for Sportsmanship, and Katie was awarded the Bracewell Medal for Form & Technique.
